December 30, 2016. For 86 years the Pontiac Holiday Tournament has offered basketball lovers a reason to get out of the house during the lull between Christmas and New Year’s. Arguably the most competitive tournament in Illinois, fans are treated to many of the top teams from all around the state. Everyone who attends a morning, afternoon, or evening session at this marathon of high school hoops is sure to find great basketball and big crowds. I was treated to a strong team performance by Simeon and monster shooting by Benet.
